New draft floodplain maps (Digital Flood Insurance Rate Maps) are being developed and adopted across the State of Montana. Recently, the preliminary maps for Fergus and Missoula Counties were released.
Formal 90-day FEMA appeal processes for each of these maps will begin in the weeks following the public meetings. Keep current on the map status by checking www.montanadfirm.com
All of Fergus County is included in the meeting, specifically the twons of Denton, Grass Range, Lewistown, Moore and Winifred.
