The Greater Gallatin Watershed Council’s 4th Annual Fall Tour has been postponed until Thursday, October 22nd, 2009
The Role of Natural Wetlands in Watershed Restoration and Water Quality The Greater Gallatin Watershed Council (GGWC) is hosting its 4th annual Fall Watershed Tour on Thursday, October 22nd from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Explore the Cherry River Fishing Access Site between Bozeman and Belgrade and learn more about wetlands and their role in conserving water quantity and quality and helping restore the Gallatin River Watershed. The walking tour will include speakers from the Gallatin Local Water Quality District, Gallatin Conservation District, Gallatin Valley Land Trust, Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks, Montana Department of Environmental Quality’s TMDL and Wetlands Programs, and local experts in hydrology, birds of our area, and others. Tour sponsors include the Gallatin Local Water Quality District, the Gallatin Conservation District, Rosauers Supermarket, and the Montana Department of Environmental Quality. Free and open to the public, pre-registration is required by October 19th.
