Abstract Submission Form

Deadline: December 1, 2004
Acceptance Notification: Extended to January 14, 2005

Welcome to the Abstract Submission Form Site for the 2005 UCOWR/NIWR Annual Conference, River Restoration: Changing Landscapes, to be held July 12-14, in Portland, Maine. This site will be used for submission of all abstracts and has been designed for ease of use and efficiency in communication. In order to complete the form, you will need to have the following information on hand:

  • Name, title, full mailing address, email address, phone and fax numbers of the main contact and the first author.
  • Name, title and email address of subsequent authors.
  • Name of the intended presenter.
  • Type of presentation (paper, poster or panel).
  • Title of the abstract (12 words or less).
  • Abstract (700 words of less -- this can be cut and pasted within this limit)

Once you fill in the information and submit the form, a confirmation page will appear on your screen indicating the date and time your material was received, and you will be able to check the information for accuracy and completeness. Please print or save this confirmation for your records! If you find that something needs to be changed or added, email Rosie Gard indicating the date and time the abstract was received and the intended change(s). You will receive an email confirming that your change request has been received and the changes reflected on your abstract submission form. We look forward to receiving your abstract by the December 1, 2004 deadline, and to a great conference in Maine.

Authors of abstracts accepted for presentation at the conference will be given the opportunity to submit an extended abstract of up to ten pages at a later date. These will be compiled as the 2005 Conference Proceedings and published on CD-ROM. All presenters are required to register in advance for the conference and submit a registration fee. Discounts are available for students as well as UCOWR and NIWR members, and those registering on or prior to June 13, 2005.

For further information, contact Rosie Gard at UCOWR Headquarters, or Lynne Lewis, Conference Program Chair, Associate Professor of Economics, Bates College.
