Welcome to the Abstract Submission Site for the 2010 UCOWR/NIWR Annual Conference, HydroFutures: Water Science, Technology & Communities, to be held July 13-15, 2010 in Seattle, Washington, USA. This site will be used for submission of all abstracts and has been designed for ease of use and efficiency in communication.
Completing the Online Submission Form
Gather the Necessary Information: There are two parts to the
submission process. The first part asks for contact information about the actual
presenter. The second asks for information about the abstract
itself and any additional authors or panelists.
You will need to have the following information on hand to complete the submission process:
- Name, affiliation, full mailing address, email address, and phone number of the presenter.
- Name, affiliation, full mailing address, email address, and phone number of the primary author or panel organizer. if different from presenter.
- Name, affiliation, city, state, country, and email address of additional authors or panelists.
- Status of all the above -- student or non-student.
- Type of presentation (paper, panel or poster).
- Title of the abstract (12 words or less).
- Abstract (350 words of less in English -- this can be cut and pasted within this limit)
- Biosketch (250 words or less) -- to introduce the presenter at the conference.
Confirming your Submission: After you fill in
the information and submit the form, a confirmation page will appear on your
screen indicating the date and time your material was received. You will be able
to check the information for accuracy and completeness. Please print or save
this confirmation for your records!
If a confirmation page does not appear at the end of your submission please
email the Site Administrator. We will
send you confirmation of what we received, and work with you to make sure your
abstract is submitted correctly and in it's entirety.
Making Changes: If you find that something
needs to be changed or added, email
Rosie Gard indicating
the submission date and abstract ID number from your confirmation page, and the intended change(s).
You will receive an email confirming that we received your change request,
and that the necessary changes have been made to your abstract submission. You
will also receive an updated confirmation page.
Authors of abstracts accepted for presentation at the conference will be given the opportunity to submit an extended abstract of up to ten pages at a later date. These will be compiled as the 2010 Conference Proceedings and published on CD-ROM.
All presenters are required to register in advance for the conference and submit a registration fee. Discounts are available for students as well as UCOWR and NIWR members, and those registering on or prior to June 13, 2010.
